This lip balm does not contain animal products, alcohols, or mineral oils, nor does Geneva Springs use petroleum products and therefore does not create an inpenetrable layer of "stuff" on your lips.

Sometimes, I think chap stick is addictive because of the use of petroleum products. It locks the moisture OUT and off of your lips, leaving your lips still wanting more after this sealing layer wears off. When petroleum is not listed in the ingredients, your lips are allowed to use the moisture and other ingredients to benefit them - leaving them soft, and "lucious" and kissable.

Geneva Springs does not use color in their lip balms.
